Turkey is naturally low in fat and are known to contain nutrients to keep blood cholesterol down, protect against birth defects, cancer and heart disease, aid in nerve function and growth, boost the immune system, regulate blood pressure, and assist in healing processes. Pork, affectionately known as the other white meat, is a bit tricky when using ground pork. It is only considered lean if it contains less than 17% fat so be sure to check packaging carefully.
